Heiligtum von Santa Casa in Loreto

One of the most important Italian Marian shrines. It was built around the so-called House of Our Lady, which was supposed to be brought here from Nazareth during the Crusades. The cottage is located inside a late Gothic basilica. Its walls are covered with Renaissance bas-reliefs depicting scenes from the life of Mary and the Holy Family and the figures of the prophets. Inside the bungalow, a figure of the Black Madonna, considered to be a miracle, is kept.
