Abtei von Pomposa

The abbey is one of the most significant buildings of this type in the country. The first records of the existence of the monastery come from the 9th century, but it is possible that the history of the abbey dates back several centuries. The complex includes a church from the 7th-9th centuries, a bell tower and a monastery.
