The museum dedicated to the natural sciences was opened in 1997 and is located in the former seat of Emperor Maximilian I Habsburg. The exhibitions here are devoted to the geology and natural environment of South Tyrol. The most popular attraction is the largest 9,000-liter coral reef aquarium in the Alps.
