Baptistery for the rite of baptism, located in front of the Basilica of St. Alexander. It was built in the 14th century by Giovanni da Campione. The interior of the building is rich in symbols - the two-color floor symbolizes the waves of the Jordan. There is also a statue of Saint John the Baptist, and under the dome a dove - a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
