The Coast Guard Cultural Center is located on the beautiful Tramore Bay in County Waterford. The 19th-century building, previously used for coastal protection, now houses an art gallery and dining facilities.
At the end of the 20th century, the former Coast Guard buildings underwent a major renovation. Their interiors have been adapted for exhibition purposes. It presents temporary exhibitions mainly in the field of contemporary art. Both Irish and foreign authors are invited. The halls can also host lectures, meetings with people of culture and art, as well as concerts and theater performances.
There is also a small café in the building, offering a wide selection of teas and light snacks prepared on site. The surroundings of the Center invite to walks, due to the beautiful views of the Tramore Bay.
