The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Roscommon is a neo-Gothic, three-nave temple with towers at the main facade. It belongs to the Roman Catholic Church. The facade is decorated with a rosette, the interior is covered with rib vaults. The chancel is lined with a mosaic depicting the adoration of the cross by angels.
The church was built in 1903. Its designer was Walter Doolin. In 1916, a five-story, square tower with a soaring spire was added to its façade. The architecture of the church is modeled on buildings known as Flame Gothic, characterized by rich stonework ornaments.
The temple is built of stone. In the façade there is a rosette filled with stained glass. There are three entrances with carved portals leading to the interior. The naves of the church are covered with a rib vault. They are separated from each other by round pillars that support the arches. The chancel is semicircular. They are filled with a mosaic on a golden background. The main altar is made of stone and resembles a miniature of a Gothic church.
