Galway Atlantaquaria, Nationales Aquarium von Irland

Lokaler Name: Galway Atlantaquaria

Galway Atlantaquaria is the largest aquarium with native fish species in Ireland. It is located on two floors. You can see over a dozen exhibitions there, including a reservoir imitating the conditions and climate of the west coast of Ireland - from the glacial mountain streams of Connemara to Galway Bay. Many species of fish live here, including sharks, octopus, rays, seahorses and eels. There is also a submarine built on the basis of the Alvin model that can be viewed from the inside.

In addition to traditional sightseeing, you can take part in talks about the individual inhabitants of the aquarium and demonstrations of their feeding. It is even possible to hold a starfish or a Pacific crab.

There are also educational workshops for children in Galway Atlantaquaria, during which students take part, among others, in scientific experiments and excursions to the coast. It is also possible to organize special events in the aquarium, e.g. birthday parties.
