Lokaler Name: Château de Crussol
On the 200 meter high Crussol hill, which has been used militarily since Roman times, the first stone castle was built in the 12th century to control navigation on the Rhône. Fortifications, plundered in the 17th century, damaged as a result of an explosion in a quarry in 1855 and finally devastated during a storm in 1952, remains in a picturesque ruin.
