Clemenceau Museum

The Georges Clemenceau Museum is housed in the house where he lived for 35 years until his death in 1929. On two floors there are documents, photos, manuscripts, letters and personal belongings of the politician. There is a small garden at the back of the house.
Georges Clemenceau is recognized as one of the greatest statesmen in all French history. He was also a writer, publicist and traveler. In 1931, a museum dedicated to him was opened in his house in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. It shows the interiors as they were when Clemenceau died. There are also personal memorabilia, clothes, including the famous coat and gaiters, in which he visited the troops at the front during World War I.
