Abtei von Valasse

The 12th-century Romanesque Cistercian abbey, after being destroyed by the English army, was rebuilt in the 15th century in the Gothic style. During the French Revolution, the complex was taken over by the state for residential purposes, then a spinning mill, a dairy plant and, until 2013, an amusement park operated here. Currently, the building has the status of a monument and is made available to visitors.
