Rokua Nationalpark

The Rokua National Park in Utajärvi is part of the UNESCO Geopark. It covers the area of old pine forests, dunes, ravines and various geological forms, such as terminal moraines, drumlins, eskers and post-glacial melting lakes.

The Rokua National Park is a great place for the whole family and lovers of active outdoor recreation. There are over 70 km of trails for hiking and biking, and cross-country skiing in winter. In addition, 6 km of ski runs have been built on the slopes. You can also bathe in the lakes, and, after obtaining the appropriate permit, practice traditional fishing and ice fishing.

In the park there is a sports equipment rental, hotel, accommodation and camping places.
