The Viikki Arboretum in Helsinki was founded in 1969. Today it grows around 250 species of trees and shrubs, both from Finland and other parts of the northern hemisphere, including Asia, Western Europe and North America. About 5 km of nature paths have been marked out here.
There are two bird watching towers in the Viikki Arboretum that are open to visitors all year round. There are also picnic tables and toilets in their vicinity.
