Новая крепость Эльвсборг

The fortress was built in the 16th century to defend the Gothenburg port against the Danish navy. After losing its defensive functions, it was used for many years as a prison, warehouse and even a place for growing mushrooms. Today it is a historic building that houses one of the 11 official Swedish salute batteries.
