Мемориальный Дом Вероники Микле
Локальное имя: Casa Memorială Veronica Micle
The Veronica Micle Memorial House is located in Târgu Neamț, where the poet spent her childhood and youth. It houses exhibitions devoted to the life and work of Micle, as well as a plaster copy of the grave mask of the poet Mihai Eminescu, the original of which is kept at the Museum of Romanian Literature in Iasi.
There are three exhibition halls in the museum. The first presents the poet's life, including her friendship with Eminescu. There are photocopies of manuscripts, correspondence and documents. In the second room, you can see furniture and clothes characteristic of the second half of the 19th century, some of which are original items belonging to Micle and her family. The third room is a restored poet's study with, among others, a silver book stand, an antique inkwell and a large crystal mirror.
The house was built of wood in the 19th century. In 1980-1981 it was completely destroyed. It was rebuilt according to the original plan with minor modifications. Today, the house is slightly taller and has a porch that was not in the original building.
