Драгомирнский монастырь
Локальное имя: Mănăstirea Dragomirna
The fortified monastery of Dragomirna was built at the beginning of the 17th century. The complex, entered in its entirety in the register of monuments, includes: the church, the chapel of St. Nicholas, a refectory and a powerful defensive wall with towers and a belfry.
The central part of the complex is a stone church, whose architecture clearly shows elements of the Moldavian style. It is distinguished from most buildings built at that time by its narrow and elongated structure - the temple is 35 m long, 9.5 m wide and 42 m high.
The interior of the church is decorated with valuable frescoes, silver embroidery and crosses carved in cedar and ebony. It is also worth paying attention to the Rococo iconostasis made of yew wood and originally from the Solca monastery. It consists of five rows of icons, and the whole is topped with a carved cross.
