Юго-западный Алентежу и природный парк Коста-Висентина

The Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina nature park is located in the south-west of Portugal. The park covers an area of approximately 100 kilometers stretching from Alentejo to the Algarve. It covers a long coastal strip, protecting many unique species of plants and animals. The rarest species that can be found in the reserve are fishing eagles, European otter and white stork.

In the park, it is worth visiting the beaches, seaside towns, the lighthouse at Cape São Vicente and practicing water sports, hiking and biking, as well as admiring the views, especially the cliffs. There is an interesting Mediterranean climate with oceanic features. There is a variety of vegetation in the reserve, from the typical flora of calcareous soils, through the vegetation of dunes, heaths and wetlands, to plants characteristic of the quays, hills and ravines.
