Маринья Бич

Praia da Marinha has been named one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Portugal and one of the 100 in the world. Due to its high natural values, the Ministry of Environment awarded it with the "Golden Beach" distinction. Praia da Marinha is often used by filmmakers and photographers for shots and photo shoots.

The sandy golden beach of Praia da Marinha is surrounded by fancy formations of steep cliffs. One of the very popular rock structures resembles the letter "M". The water in this area is clear and clean, so you can often see snorkelers here. From the beach you can take a boat out to the ocean and explore the coast from the water. The grottos formed naturally in the cliffs are particularly noteworthy. It is worth knowing that the only way to get to the beach is by descending a cliff along a long series of stairs. The beach is not close to any town, so it's best to get there by car.
