Латвийский военный музей

The museum is located in the city's powder tower. It is one of the oldest in Latvia and was opened in 1916. Currently, its exhibitions focus primarily on the issues of World War I and II and the participation of Latvian troops in them. Also presented are military traditions from the interwar period, uniforms, weapons and military documents. A separate exhibition shows the years of Latvia's dependence on the USSR and the regaining of independence in 1991.
