A defensive castle built at the end of the 15th century by Alfonso II of Naples on the site of an earlier Swabian fortress. Thick defensive walls are reinforced with round towers and a polygonal bastion added at a later time. Inside, some of the old residential and warehouse buildings have been preserved.
