Национальный парк Валь Гранде

One of the largest Italian national parks. It is located in the Alps, in the northern part of the country, and covers several mountain ranges and valleys south of Lake Maggiore. The local peaks are over 2,100 m above sea level and some of them can only be climbed. The entire area is accessible via a network of hiking trails. There are also shelters, and on the trails there are remains of trenches from World War I and former mountain farms.
