Монастырь Санта-Катерина-дель-Сассо

A monastery located on a narrow ledge about 15 meters above the mirror of Lake Maggiore in northern Italy. It belongs to the most beautiful buildings on the lake shore. The church, built in the 14th century, along with residential buildings, was rebuilt many times. Thanks to this, inside the temple you can see frescoes from different eras. You can get to the monastery by boat and a narrow, winding path from the village side.
