Forio is the oldest and most famous resort on the island of Ischia. It is famous for its beautiful beaches, varied coast and large thermal swimming pool Ogrody Poseidon .
The charming, beautifully situated city is divided into two parts: Forio and Panza. The Old Town is situated on the rocks overlooking the coast, with beaches and the port below. The town is connected to the mainland by frequent ferries. From here, you can also sail to other places on the island's coast or go on a cruise by boat or speedboat.

What especially attracts tourists to Forio are its beautiful beaches. Most of them, such as CitaraBeach, ChiaiaBeach, San FrancescoBeach or San Montano Beach, are wide and sandy. They are all well developed and equipped with recreational and floating equipment rentals. The pebble Sorgeto Beach with natural thermal pools has a different character.
Hot springs are also exploited at Poseidon's Garden Baths, one of the largest thermal baths in Ischia. Right next to the gardens, there is the Poseidon Garden Baths Beach , where guests can take advantage of sea baths and comfortable places to relax.
Forio is also famous for its parks. The most beautiful of them are the Ravino Gardens with one of the largest collections of succulents in Europe, and the La Mortella Gardens . They are located on volcanic rocks, and in addition to areas with rare Mediterranean and tropical vegetation, they also include orchidgreenhouses, Victoria greenhouses , a temple of the sun and a picturesque Thai pavilion . There is also a viewpoint on the coast in the park, considered one of the most beautiful in Forio.
