The museum collects most of the archaeological finds from sites in the area of Caltanissetta and Enna. It was opened in 2006 in a building by architect Franco Minissi. The facility is equipped with interactive computer tools. One of the most important exhibits is the famous statue of a woman with a wreath, dating back to the 6th century BC
