Природный парк Дельта Эбро
Локальное имя: Parque Natural del Delta del Ebro
The Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre nature reserve covers an area of 320 square kilometers of a wetland coastal strip in the Ebro Delta on both sides. There are various environments, both aquatic and terrestrial, such as lagoons, riparian forests, coastal vegetation, beaches, dunes, islands and bays. It is a haven for many species of birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles.
Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre was established in 1983 to protect the aquatic environment of the Ebro Delta. In 1986, the area of the park was extended to include areas located on the left bank of the river. Part of the area in the reserve is used for agricultural purposes, and rice cultivation is particularly popular. Since the creation of the reserve, a sustainable economy has been conducted there, and the local inhabitants live in harmony with the biodiversity of the area.
