Пляж Лас Тереситас
Локальное имя: Playa de Las Teresitas
The beach is covered with soft white and golden sand. It is 1.5 km long and about 80 m wide. A strip of palm trees grows along the beach. There are toilets, showers and changing cabins, and several beach bars. The water here is warm and calm, so it is a good place for families with children. There is a parking lot for about one hundred cars in the vicinity. The beach is guarded by lifeguards.
Like most beaches on the island, Playa de Las Teresitas was also originally covered with black volcanic sand and stones. In the 1970s, the beach was covered with imported white and gold sand from Western Sahara. To prevent it from being washed away, a 1 km long breakwater and two piers were built 150 m from the shore. In 1998, the sand was supplemented with a further 2,800 tons.
