Iveagh Gardens

Локальное имя: Iveagh Gardens

Iveagh Gardens is a public park designated as National Historic Property. It is almost completely surrounded by buildings, making it less visible and less known than most other green spaces in Dublin. In the park you can see, among others rustic grottoes, extensive lawns and a labyrinth. There is also a rosarium and a so-called american garden. There is also the only archery square in Ireland. The cascade fountain with rocks brought from 32 counties of Ireland also draws attention.

The history of the gardens here dates back to the mid-18th century, and the park in its present shape was designed by Ninian Niven in 1865. It represents a style standing between the French formal style and the English landscape style.
