Ballycarbery Castle
Локальное имя: Ballycarbery Castle
Ballycarbery Castle is the ruins of a former 16th century castle. Located just 3 kilometers from Cahersiveen in Ireland, the property reminds visitors of the 17th-century War of the Magi when it was attacked by cannon fire. Today it is a popular hiking destination.
Despite falling into disrepair, Ballycarbery Castle is still in demand among visitors to Ireland. Mysterious ruins located in beautiful natural surroundings attract people interested in the history of this place, although in fact the castle is not open to visitors. The heyday of the building falls on the years of its use: from the sixteenth to the twentieth century. There is evidence that from 1398 there was a residence here other than the castle built later - but no trace of it remains. The most famous - and documented - owner of the property was Sir Valentine Browne, a British payroll officer and politician.
