Cavan Burren Park is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Ireland. Wonderful, wild landscapes are mixed here with archaeological monuments such as dolmens, ancient places of worship and cemeteries. There is an Educational Center in the park, where you can see a multimedia exhibition devoted to this area.
The park is located in the northwest of Ireland in County Cavan, close to the border with Northern Ireland. Here you can see a wide variety of landscapes, from bare meadows covered with meadows and moors, through swamps to rocky plains covered with tufts of grasses and low shrubs. The geological past of this place has fascinated scientists and tourists for many years.
Cavan Burren Park was opened in 2014. There are over 10 kilometers of hiking trails in its area, allowing you to get to know this picturesque place. They lead from the Education Center to viewpoints and prehistoric monuments.
