Музей Стеллы Матутиной

The Stella Matutina Museum is located in the old sugar factory of the same name in Saint-Leu. It was opened in 1991 and was modernized and extended in 2011. The museum presents the history of sugar cane cultivation on the island of Reunion, which gradually replaced coffee cultivation, and the development of the sugar industry. During the tour you can, among others to follow the evolution of sugar production techniques that have changed over more than 200 years.
