Maison du Fromage

The exhibition is devoted to the history, production technology and traditions of consumption of Saint-Nectaire's maturing cow cheese, which Louis XIV admired. The delicacy from Auvergne was delivered to the royal court by Marshal Henri de La Ferté-Senneterre (1600-1681) - his distorted surname became the name of the cheese.
