Temple of St. Vincent de Paul was established in 1854 on the initiative of Empress Eugenia, wife of Napoleon III. Above the entrance there is a statue of the saint and reliefs depicting the personifications of the three virtues: Faith, Hope and Love. The building in the neo-Byzantine style has frescoes on the vault made by one of Henri Matisse's students.
