The Parisian Philippe Chatrier tennis court is the central arena of the Roland Garros sports complex, one of the largest tennis venues in the world. Every year, the Grand Slam tennis tournament, the French Open, is played at this facility. The court's stands can seat 14,840 spectators.

In the past it was called the central court, this name is commonly used to this day. The modern name comes from the name of the longtime president of the French Tennis Federation. The entire Roland Garros complex consists of over 20 courts. This court complex is named after Roland Garros, a French pilot, hero of the First World War.

Philippe Chatrier's court was built in 1928. Its four main stands are called "Les Quatre Mousquetaires", which means "The Four Musketeers" in French. They were named after the success of French tennis players in the Davis Cup: Brugnon, Borotro, Cochet and Lacoste.
