Minimes Lake

The Lake des Minimes is located in the northeastern part of Las Vincennes. It was established during the great reconstruction of Paris in the mid-nineteenth century in the place where there were grounds belonging to the Franciscan Order. The name of the pond comes from their name, the Friars Minor.

The lake is one of the attractions of the Vincennes Forest. There are picnic areas on its shores. On the lake there is the island of Porte Jaune, which can be reached by boat.
