Chaberton Mount

At the top is an Italian artillery battery built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Eight long-range 149 mm cannons were installed here. Their effectiveness turned out to be negligible: during the Italian invasion of 1940, the French managed to destroy six cannons in one day. After World War II, the summit was on French territory.
