The La Meije mountain station is located at an altitude of 3,200 meters. The cable car route runs from La Grave to the Col des Ruillans and the journey usually takes around 30 minutes. There is a small footpath across the La Meije glacier adjacent to the top station. You can also take the option of guided tours of the caves carved in the glacier.
