The dam, erected in 1948-1952, is 47 m high, 136 m long and 2 m wide at the top (11 m at the base). The capacity of the artificial reservoir is 2,810,000 m3. The water collected in it is transferred through a special channel to 5 large turbines - the fall is over 600 m.
