Форт Дуомон

The largest and most important fortress, which is part of the 19 defense towers of the city of Verdun, was built in the second half of the 19th century. XIX century. The fort has the status of a national monument. During World War I, the structure played an important role during the Battle of Verdun and is now part of a hiking trail that tells the story of the battle.
