The reserve covers the area of Bagnas ponds and their surroundings. About 250 different species of birds live in its area. They are mainly water and wading birds, such as ducks, loons, geese, herons and cranes, but also birds of prey, including harriers, kites and buzzards. Visiting the protected area is possible with a guide.
