Kullaberg

Nombre local: Kullaberg

The rocky, wild end of the Kullen Peninsula consists of tall, sharp cliffs that reach 187 m in height and deciduous and mixed forests. Along the coast there are numerous rock fractures that create coves and coastal caves. In total, 24 caves with a depth of at least 3 m were discovered here. The longest is 22 m long.

Two nature reserves have been established on the peninsula and the surrounding water strip. This place is particularly important for the protection of birds. There are 275 species of birds, 90 of which nest directly on the peninsula. They include buzzards, ravens, kestrels and numerous songbirds. 58% of all Swedish butterflies are also found here. During your walks you can come across hares, rabbits, deer, foxes and several species of reptiles.

A marine reserve has been designated around the coast. From the shore, you can often observe seals and porpoises appearing here.
