Nombre local: Volvo Museum
The Volvo Museum in Gothenburg has gathered an extensive exhibition showing the development of Sweden's largest car manufacturer. You can see there, among others the first model from 1927 - the ÖV 4. The original desks of the company's founders, Assar Gabrielsson and Gustaf Larson, are also located here.
The prototypes will be interesting for car enthusiasts: Volvo Philip with V8 engine (1950s) and Volvo VCC. The museum is located in Arendal on the island of Hisingen. After visiting the exhibition, tourists often go for a walk along the seashore.
The museum was opened in 1995. Since then, it has managed to gather around 100 objects, including passenger cars, trucks, buses, tractors, boat and ship engines - in short, everything that has been produced under the Volvo brand since its inception until today.
