Monasterio Peri

The monastery was founded in 1997 on the site of the monastery dedicated to Saint George in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Archangel Michael. It is now a nunnery. In 2020, it was inhabited by 6 nuns.

The tower of the monastery church is 78 m high, which makes the temple the third largest in the country. Only the Orthodox cathedral in Timisoara and the Church of St. Michael in Cluj. There is a unique cross in the temple, 7 meters high and covered with 4 kg of gold.
