Iglesia de la ascensión de Cristo

The Church of the Ascension is the main temple of the Neamt Monastery in Mânăstirea Neamț, one of the oldest and most important Romanian monasteries in historical Moldova. It was built in the 15th century and combines elements of medieval Gothic architecture with Byzantine elements.

During a visit to the church, it is worth paying attention to the iconostasis made in 1864 of yew wood framed in gold and frescoes decorating the apse, the nave and the funerary hall.
