The picturesque, sandy beach stretches for nearly 20 km. It is one of the last wild and untouched beaches on the Romanian coast. It's a good place for water sports - sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba diving and snorkeling.
It's also a great place to walk along the seafront. You can then collect shells that lie on the sand in large numbers. Due to its biodiversity and numerous bird colonies, the beach is part of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve. In the vicinity of the beach there are camping sites, and the fortress Histria, built in the 7th century by the Greeks, is also quite close.
