Bucharest City Museum is dedicated to history and art. It has 12 branches, one of which is the Sutu Palace, one of the oldest aristocratic residences in the city. It was built in the years 1833-1835 and has survived to modern times without major changes in architecture.
The interior of the palace was designed in 1862 by the famous sculptor and decorator Karl Storck. The monumental staircase draws attention. Currently, the palace houses exhibitions mainly related to the history of the city. Here you can see, among others collections of costumes and uniforms, works of art, archaeological exhibits and photographs.
The collections are presented both through traditional exhibitions placed in glass cabinets and through modern interactive audio-visual panels.
