Zubrnice is a village surrounded by picturesque hills of the Bohemian Highlands. There is one of the youngest Czech open-air museums showing the life of the inhabitants of the northern part of the country.

The village can be a good base for hikes in the gentle, partially forested hills in the area. Here you can find peace and respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A lot of historic buildings have been preserved in the village, including the Gothic church of St. Marii Panny and frame houses on a small market square. This part of the village is now part of the Zubrnice Open-Air Museum, which is the greatest attraction of the area.

In addition to the buildings that have been standing in the village for centuries, there are also residential houses, a water mill, a Baroque well and a statue of St. John of Nepomuk. The open-air museum also includes a village school, a shop and a railway station with an exhibition of railway equipment. A historic railway depot runs in the vicinity of the track.
