Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou is a village whose most important monument is the baroque palace of Count Questenberg, surrounded by French gardens.

Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou Castle, which is the most important attraction of the village, was originally built in the Middle Ages. Already at the end of the 15th century it was rebuilt into a Renaissance residence, and it gained its present shape at the beginning of the 18th century. The owner of the property was then Count Jan Adam Questenberg, patron of artists, who organized a court theater, orchestra and choir in his seat. It is assumed that this is where the first Czech opera was staged.

The residence, the interior of which is decorated with splendor, is filled with works of art, old musical instruments, handicrafts, antique porcelain and glass. It is surrounded by a chateau park decorated in a French style, with extensive flower beds, lawns and rows of trimmed bushes. The castle is connected with the late-Baroque Church of St. Margaret. Its vaults are covered with illusionist polychromes, and the furnishings show a mature baroque style.
