Castillo Alcoutim

Medieval castle standing on a hill above the Guadiana River. It is a fortress that defended the Portuguese-Spanish border in the past. Massive medieval walls with artillery positions from modern times have been preserved. There is a picturesque park within the walls. It offers a nice view of the surrounding area.
