White Stork Museum in Kłopot aims to protect the population of storks and teach about environmental education. It is located in the area of a white stork colony in Krzesiński Landscape Park.
The museum was established in 2003 on the initiative of the League of Nature Protection in Zielona Góra which also administers it. It cooperates with, among others, the University of Zielona Góra, Krzesiński Landscape Park, the Municipal Office in Cybinka, German organization FOEJ and the European Network of Stork Villages. There are over 30 nests of white stork in Kłopot.Main activities of the museum related to the protection of this species are monitoring of the number of white storks in the colony, mounting nest platforms, cleaning bird habitats from rubbish, and ecological research of the population.menos
