Located on the island formed on the Odra River, the park is a recreational green area for the inhabitants of Opole. It is a place suitable for walking, cycling, rollerblading or other forms of relaxation surrounded by greenery. In the summer season, there is a marina for a cruise ship and a canoe rental on the park boulevard on the Oder.
The park covers an area of approximately 6 hectares. Visitors to this place have many walking paths with benches at their disposal, as well as additional attractions in the open air: a climbing wall, an outdoor stage and a playground for children.
There is also a cement bust of the Roman goddess Juno in the park, reproducing the same sculpture that was given to the city in the second half of the 19th century. The present layout and form of the park was given at the beginning of the 20th century, although it was established at the end of the 18th century.
