Forte Albertino de Vinadio

The fort was built as a fortress by Carlo Alberto di Savoia. The castle was strategically positioned to control the surrounding valleys bordering France. However, the stronghold was not an important target for military interventions. In the 19th century it was used as a prison year for refugees.
